Today is Christmas and I am enjoying my morning with a nice cup of decaf and 4 snuggly dogs (Fran is still snoozing away). Our usual holiday tradition is to watch A Christmas Story, which airs in a 24 loop on TV, as many times as the day will allow. Hence the title (not a finger!). Unfortunately we are at a spot with no cable hook-up, so the tradition is broken. But you won’t hear me complain as it is sunny, warm, and simply perfect outside right now…who needs cable?
I wanted to let everyone know we made it to Florida safe and sound. I have been a bit behind in updating, but my excuse is plain and simple – I’ve been enjoying the journey to it’s fullest. Our days have been pretty busy and I am taking in the sights and sounds of it all. For example, yesterday we spent the entire day in Universal (with a break in between to come back and hang out with the dogs, of course). By the time we got back, I was exhausted and ready for bed. It wasn’t even 9pm.
But more on that later. For now, I want share the rest of our visit in Savannah. After the Trolley Tour and Tybee Island, we felt that there was still much to see and do. However, the weather wasn’t cooperating. It was cold and windy and we both felt like we were back in PA. However, we decided that we would make the best of the day and take a short trip into town. We wanted to check out River Street, a popular place to shop, dine, and drink. We walked along the cobblestone street, which was surprisingly busy considering the weather, and took our time checking it all out. We toured the Peacemaker sailboat, hung out in a candy store, and feasted on some seafood at a little pub. It ended up being a pretty awesome day.
After we got back ‘home’, we took the dogs for a long walk through the state park. The park had filled up quite a bit over the last couple days, but it was still very quiet and peaceful. The next day, we packed up and hit the road, bound for Florida. More to come later…

Merry Christmas! Enjoy the day. We had a white Christmas and are expecting more snow tomorrow.
Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! Thanks again for the awesome presents, we have been getting great use out of them!
