Yesterday morning we woke up bright & early, packed up the RV, and waved goodbye to Cape Coral. As wonderful as our stay was in the house we rented, it’s really been awesome to get back into the swing of things, hitting the road once again and continuing our adventure.
During our stay in Cape Coral, we did a good amount hanging by the pool, walking the dogs through the neighborhood, discovering local restaurants, chillin’ on the beach, and visiting with family. One of our favorite spots to hang out is Fort Myers beach. It’s a great place to go for the day/evening. The beach, restaurants, bars, shops are all within a few blocks from each other, making things very convenient We headed there on a warm 82 degrees day, and enjoyed relaxing by the water and catching up on some reading. Afterwards we walked up and grabbed some sushi from a somewhat new place called Zushi Sushi. Everything we got was incredible, and we will definitely be back for more next time we are in town.
I want to send a huge thank you to Al, Roe, Jeanne, & Bob (our parents) for everything! All the hospitality, tours, and local tips were very much appreciated, and made our stay in Cape Coral amazing! Also sending some good vibes to my dad, who came down with the flu AND pneumonia just before we left…ugh! Wishing him a speedy recovery!
We are currently on our way to NW Florida, and will be making a couple brief visits before we hit New Orleans. I will do my best to keep in touch and post updates! Check back soon and don’t forget…home is where you park it!
