The Dogs

Ozzie

Ozzie

The Ozz man is one sweet little dude. We adopted him from the Philly SPCA in October of 2009, along with his brother Harry. He had been seized from a home in the area due to neglect. His hair was a mess…one huge giant matted ball. He was severely underweight, and a very scared little dog. He had a love & hate relationship with his brother and would get into all out brawls over the littlest thing. The poor guy was afraid of his own shadow and would scurry away from anything he saw as threatening, which was almost everything! I’m happy to say that this man has come a LONG way since then. He is such a fun, respectful, adoring, goofy, little dog! He loves his brother Harry (and other small dogs) and will romp around with him all day long! I feel so lucky that he came into my life to share his love with me!

Harry

Harry

My crazy Harry! What a wild boy he is! Harry was adopted with his brother, Ozzie in 2009 from the Philly SPCA…and even though they came from the same neglectful & abusive home, you would never know that from his spunky personality. Harry is one awesome dog. He is pretty much great with everyone he meets and is always looking for a handout – love, treats, attention! He is a serious goofball who keeps me laughing everyday with his silly antics! Harry enjoys helping me out when new foster siblings arrive in the home, and I am happy to have a helping paw! So glad to have this spicy lil man in my life!

Luke

Luke

Mr. Luke is an awesome, somewhat shy, little ‘tweenie’ who we adopted from Almost Home Dachshund Rescue in the summer of 2007. He came from a home where they pretty much ignored him, forgot to feed him, and didn’t give him an ounce of love. That hasn’t stopped our boy from being one great and amazingly affectionate dog. Lukie is a lazy dude, he prefers long naps over long walks, but he will occasionally have a few bursts of wild energy and show off his amazing skills at running ridiculously fast! His favorite thing to do is lounge in the sun and soak up rays, he even turns over to different sides to warm up! He is a momma’s boy but also has much love for his older sister Samantha and will protect her from anything he feels is a threat. Luke on one of the most loyal little dogs in the world and I am so thrilled to have this sweet sweet boy in my life!

Samantha

Samantha

Miss Samantha has been with us since November 1999, shortly after she was born. While she is the smallest and oldest of the pack, make no mistake, she is the BOSS! and All her furry siblings know this. She is a sweet girl who has been through quite a bit over the years. From medical emergencies (falling down a flight of steps, consuming things she shouldn’t have, having her tail sliced 90% off in a freak accident, etc) living & coping with seizures, and major back surgery in 2010…she is a trooper! Although she is technically a handicapped senior dog, she doesn’t want to hear a word of that. She has the energy to try and keep up with her brothers antics. Almost always on the go, she loves ‘destroying & conquering’ her squeak toys. Samantha is a brilliantly smart dog, and will kick your honor roll kids butt any day! I am truly happy to have this spunky, bossy, lovable girl in my life!

Gone to the Dogs

When I’m not on the road doing the RV thing, I volunteer and foster for PAWS in Philadelphia. It has been an awesome experience, and very rewarding for me, the dogs, and those who adopt. It’s amazing to watch a scared, emaciated, un-trusting animal blossom into a playful, sweet, and loving dog. I can’t imagine ever giving up fostering and I miss it immensely when I’m on the road! Feel free to check out my foster blog at www.lovefurall.com. If you have any interest in adopting, fostering, or have any questions…don’t hesitate to contact me!
